WHO I AM

OVER THE PAST FOUR YEARS, I HAVE BEEN AN ACTOR AND AN ARTIST. I DATED FIVE GIRLS; LOVED ONE. I HAVE WON FEW AWARDS AND BEEN NOMINATED FOR A COUPLE AS WELL. I HAVE WORKED AND WORKED AND WORKED. I BECAME ENAMORED WITH PHOTOGRAPHING THE WORLD AROUND ME AND WITH DRIVING HARD. I STARTED TWO CLUBS AND ONLY LEFT WHEN THEY BECAME SUCCESSFUL. I'VE DIRECTED  ENTIRE SHOWS AND TAUGHT CHILDREN. THE WORK I DO SHOWS WHO I AM. PIECES OF MY WORK HAVE BEEN DESCRIBED BEFORE AS "THE WEIRDEST THING I'VE EVER READ" AND AS "THE WEIRDEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN". I'VE GONE FROM EXTROVERT ENTIRELY TO A SIMPLE MIX OF THE TWO TRAITS OVER THE RECENT YEARS. NOW I WORK ON SMALLER PROJECTS IN PHOTO SUCH AS ALL OF THE PHOTOS THAT GO INTO THE YEARBOOK.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

I HAVE MOST IMPORTANTLY LEARNED HOW TO PRESENT MYSELF. THE SCIENCES WASTED MY TIME AND I WISHED THAT THE CLASSES WERE OPTIONAL; BESIDES HEALTH. ENGLISH REPEATED THINGS I ALREADY KNEW, OVER AND OVER AGAIN.  THEATRE AND PHOTO BECAME MY NICHE BECAUSE I WAS GIVEN A CHOICE IN THE MATTER. HISTORY WAS A NATURALLY EASY SUBJECT AND THE TEACHERS WERE AGREEABLE, THEREFORE IT CAME EASILY. MATHEMATICS; ANOTHER BLURRY MESS OF MEANINGLESS NUMBERS. UNLESS YOU'RE GOING INTO A FIELD AS SPECIFIC AS BIOLOGY OR SOMETHING RELATING TO MATH, THE INFORMATION IS LARGELY USELESS. THEY NEVER TAUGHT ME HOW TO FILE MY TAXES OR TO USE A REGISTER. HIGH SCOOL TAUGHT ME HOW TO BE MORE SOCIAL, MOST IMPORTANTLY.

WHERE I AM HEADED

I'M JUMPING OFF A CLIFF WITHOUT A PARACHUTE. IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THAT. COLLEGE IS A LONG FALL AND WHATEVER I WANT TO DO WITH MY LIFE IS WHAT WILL SNAG ME ON MY WAY DOWN. IF THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN, THEN I'M SIMPLY SCREWED (WITHOUT A PARACHUTE). WHEREVER I MAY END UP THOUGH. PEOPLE I KNOW HAVE BEEN CONFIDENT THAT I'LL EXCELL.

WHAT IT ALL MEANS

THIS EXPERIENCE HAS SHAPED WHO I AM AND WHICH PEOPLE I CHOOSE TO ASSOCIATE WITH. IT HAS ALLOWED ME TO DISCOVER THAT I DO STICK OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB AND THAT I PREFER TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. I DON'T LIKE TO BE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, AND THERE'S NOT TOO MUCH WRONG WITH THAT!
